Challenge

The Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law is a branch of Campbell University offering experiential learning in the heart of North Carolina’s capital city. As a private graduate school, Campbell Law wanted a way to inform supporters, alumni, students and friends of the school about the school’s progress throughout the year. Their former newsletter had gotten over crowded and had lost its impact.

Process

During a client meeting, I discussed with the client the intent for the new “Law Brief” and emphasized the need to keep content captivating but concise in order to keep the newsletter appealing. After several new layout, format, and size suggestions we landed on a multi-page booklet self-mailer. I took time to become familiar with Campbell’s brand standards and took special care to implement them throughout the newsletter.

Result

This clean and attractive mailing re-engaged friends of the Law School. With strong feedback on the new layout and content adjustments from supporters, Campbell utilizes this layout bi-annually to not just inform its constituents but to connect with them and invite them to continue to be a part of the university’s mission of leading with purpose.
