Challenge
Cardinal Gibbons High School is a college preparatory high school in Raleigh, NC with a mission to form men and women of faith, service and leadership. As a private Catholic high school, Cardinal Gibbons is able to provide its students with countless unique opportunities due to funding and contributions from generous supporters. The school wanted a way to inform donors, alumni and families of the goings-on in the lives of current Crusaders.
Process
After discussing the purpose of the new magazine, Gibbons provided text content and images for their stories, but little direction for the visual direction of the magazine. I took time to research some other magazine layouts to gain inspiration for organizing the content and worked on incorporating their brand, while keeping the layout clean.
Result
This publication layout features large striking images incorporated around compelling stories. With great feedback from Crusader staff, parents, and alumni, this magazine does more than just inform Gibbons’ supporters, it engages them and reminds them that they are a part of all the great things that are happening.
